LAHORE, August 05 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought detailed written report from chief secretary Punjab on the petition against hoisting national flag worth 40 crores on occasion of Independence Day.
Petition filed by a citizen Amir Sikandar against the step of hoisting national flag valuing Rs 40 crore in Liberty Chowk Lahore on the occasion of independence day came up for hearing before a single bench of LHC led by Justice Rahil Kamran.
The counsel told the court no fund of Rs 40 crores has been allocated by the government for hoisting national flag.
LHC has sought detailed written report from chief secretary Punjab on this matter.
