National Assembly likely to be dissolved on August 11

ISLAMABAD, July 31 (Online): The National Assembly (NA) is likely to be dissolved on August 11 with the consensus of government and allied parties.

According to media report government tenure is near at hand and due to it the meeting of allied parties of government will be convened after some days.

Advice will be communicated to the president on August 11 after consultation.

If president does not sign it then the assembly will stand dissolved automatically within 48 hours.

NA tenure will expire at 2400 hrs night on August 13. On receipt of advice, the president will write letter to opposition and the government that name of care taker Prime Minister (PM) be given.

In the event of consensus and after three days consultations, the president will get a few hours for notification.

It is binding on government and opposition to complete consultation process in regard to caretaker PM within three days and send the name.

In the event of non consensus, the election commission will announce the name of care taker PM within three days out of proposed names.
