ECNEC approves 21 billion 51 crore rupees for the project to increase tax collection

ISLAMABAD July 27 (Online): Meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

In the meeting, the plan to make Rawalpindi Kahuta Road two lanes worth 23 billion rupees was approved.

The federal and provincial governments will bear half the cost of the project. The infrastructure improvement project of Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works worth Rs 10 billion 68 crore has been approved.

According to the statement, ECNEC has approved the Abdulkhel Klarkot road project worth Rs 14 billion 25 crore. ECNEC also approved the construction of Garuk Dam in Kharan Balochistan at a cost of Rs 27 billion 75 crore.

Remodeling project of feeder canal also approved in meeting.

ECNEC approved the construction project of 1200 MW Chashma Panch Nuclear Power Plant at a cost of Rs 1047 billion.

In the meeting, the project of Rs 12 billion 33 crore was approved for the construction of schools in flood-affected areas in Sindh. ECNEC approved the allocation of 21 billion 51 crore rupees for the project to increase tax collection.
