Local bodies employees demand for 35 percent increase in salaries , 17.5 percent in pension accepted

Rawalpindi 15 July (Online): A positive result of protest and lockout of local government employees of Punjab province has come out.

The Punjab government has accepted the 2 demands of the protestors.

The Punjab government has accepted the demand of 35 percent increase in salaries and 17.5 percent in pension of the protesting municipal employees.

The demand for leave encashment could not be accepted.

The protesting employees postponed the protest due to Muharram.

After settling the matters with the provincial government, the lockout in the municipal corporation offices of WASA, RDA and PHA in Rawalpindi has been ended .

In this regard the Union leader said that they will raise the demand for leave encashment after Muharram.

Later Municipal Union President Raja Haroon, WASA Union General Secretary Raja Iftikhar announced the postponement of the protest.
