Load shedding reaches 14 hours in different areas of country

ISLAMABAD 14 July (Online): Due to intense heat wave load-shedding reached 14 hours in different areas of country.

Short fall of electricity has been recorded as 6188 megawatts.

According to power division, the overall production of electricity is 21312 megawatts, while 27500 megawatts electricity is required across country. The production of hydroelectricity is 8800 megawatts.

Government thermal power plants are generating 850 megawatts of electricity.
The production of electricity in private sector power plants is 8833 megawatts.

The production of electricity by wind power plants is 208 megawatts. The production of electricity by solar power plants is 103 megawatts. 107 megawatts electricity is being generated from bagasse. The production of electricity by nuclear power plants is 2411 megawatts.
