ISLAMABAD, June 05 (Online): District Court Islamabad has extended bail of former speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser till June 10 in Judicial complex vandalism case.
The judicial complex vandalism case came up for hearing before district and sessions court Islamabad led by Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra Monday.
Asad Qaiser appeared in the court along with his counsel Sher Afzal Murawwat.
During the hearing of the case the counsel for Asad Qaiser took the plea that Asad Qaiser is hiding him since several days. His arrival in district Kutchery is not less than a risk. Terrorism case has been registered against his client in Mardan too.
Counsel Sher Afzal requested the court to extend the bail of his client for a long period.
The judge remarked after hearing the arguments Zahid Asif has been appointed special prosecutor in the cases in respect of all of you. But his mother has passed away.
The co-accused had requested that date for June 10 be given. If Asad Qaisar bail is extended for two and half weeks then the precedence will have to be set for other accused too.
Later the court extended bail of Asad Qaiser in respect of the case registered against him in police station Sangjani.
