Those found involved in attacks on military will be tried in military courts, Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD, May 19th (Online): Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that those who have attacked military installations are enemies of the country and they will be tried in military courts as per procedure laid down in the constitution.

While giving interview to world broadcasting corporation, Khawaja Asif has said, Military installations were attacked by PTI armed bands on 9th of May in Rawalpindi, Mianwali and Lahore.

Arrests have been made in Pakistan before and I was also arrested. My leader and many people of my political party were arrested. We have never done politics of violence.

The Defense Minister has said we have never attacked on military installations. Those who have attacked military and civilian installations are enemies of the country. The miscreants attacked military installations under a well-thought-out plan. Such act is tantamount to wage war against Pakistan.

Khawaja Mohammad Asif has said, that the trial of the attackers will be made in the military courts according to the constitution, we are not creating new courts and new laws, there are already laws, such accused will have the right to appeal in the high court’s and then in the Supreme Court.

The Defense Minister said that we are trying to control the situation, peace has been restored in the cities and the situation will become normal in the next few days.

Responding to a question about elections he said that the elections will be held on time in October.
