ISLAMABAD, May 04 (Online): Aun Chaudhry, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) who is witness of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi nikah has recorded his statement.
He has stated that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi nikah was solemnized during iddat. Due to it Imran Khan had to go for nikah again. The ceremony held in this regard was based on fraud and lie.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 10 after recording the statement.
Rizwan Abbasi counsel for the petitioner got the statement of Aun Chaudhry recorded.
Oath was taken from Aun Chaudhry before recording his statement.
Aun Chaudhry said ” my name is Aun Saqlain. My age is 44 years and I am at present SAPM. I was personal assistant, political secretary and very close friend of Imran Khan. I used to see all the political and personal matters of Imran Khan. Divorce between Imran Khan and Reeham Khan took place in 2015.
He said Bushra Bibi asked Imran Khan to divorce Reeham Khan forthwith because divorcing Reeham Khan is better for him. Reeham Khan was not present in the country. But Imran Khan divorced Reeham Khan at the behest of Bushra Bibi. Imran Khan divorced Reeham Khan through e-mail. Imran Khan remained in tension after divorcing Reeham Khan. Imran Khan used to say me often ” I should take him to Bushra Bibi. The meetings between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi continued.
He continued ” Imran Khan said in December 31, 2017 he was to solemnize nikah with Bushra Bibi on January 01. Imran Khan asked me to make arrangement for Nikah.
I expressed wonder over what Imran Khan said. I said Bushra Bibi is already married.
On my questioning, Imran Khan told me Bushra Bibi has been divorced. I trusted what Imran Khan said and I left for Lahore on next day along with Mufti Saeed and Zulfi Bokhari. Nikah of Imran Khan was solemnized with Bushra Bibi on January 01, 2018 in Lahore. I am witness to nikah of Imran Khan with Bushra Bibi.
He said Mufti Saeed inquired about the proof of divorce regarding Bushra Bibi before him. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi said to Mufti Saeed that talaq nama will be provided.
I came to know after Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi nikah that iddat period was not complete at the time of first nikah. It was in the knowledge of Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan that iddat period was not complete. The matter of nikah of Bushra Bibi during iddat had come on media. Imran Khan called me and told iddat duration will be completed on February 18.
Imran Khan asked me to make arrangements for my nikah again with Bushra Bibi. Iddat duration was to complete between February 14 and 18.
He stated “I inquired from Imran Khan about nikah during iddat period. Imran Khan told me that Bushra Bibi was given order that nikah will be solemnized on first day of 2018.
Bushra Bibi told Imran Khan he would become prime minister if they two remained wife and husband. The nikah and marriage ceremony of Imran Khan was based on fraud. Imran Khan went for his first nikah under influence of prediction.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till May 10.
