Imran files petition in IHC seeking suspension of proceedings of all call up notices, cases registered against him

ISLAMABAD, May 02 (Online): PTI chairman Imran Khan has filed another petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) praying the court to suspend the proceedings of call up notices and all the cases registered against him in Islamabad.

The details of cases registered in Islamabad and other parts of the country are summoned.

The petition said that when all the tactics of coercion failed to belittle his popularity among the people and shake his resolve then government registered undue cases for disqualifying, arresting or declaring Imran Khan Criminal so that he could be eliminated from political arena in some way.

The petition said that as many as 121 FIR have been lodged against Imran Khan all over the country. In these FIRs the allegations of such crimes have been leveled which include entire range of criminal offences. Clauses ranging from terrorism in the country, treason, blasphemy to murder have been leveled against him. These FIRs are registered in Karachi, Quetta,, Islamabad and different parts of country. Several cases were registered in the case of same nature.

The fundamental rights are being abused by using criminal laws for political purposes.

Several cases were registered under terrorism clauses.
