K. Electric all set to drop electricity bombshell on consumers

ISLAMABAD, April 20 (Online): K-electric has requested NEPRA to scale up electricity tariff by RS. 4.49 Per unit.

K-electric in Karachi has filed application with NEPRA for enhancing power tariff under the head fuel adjustment for the month of March.

According to which permission has been sought to increase the price of electricity by RS. 4.49 Per unit.

On request of K-electric the hearing in NEPRA will be held on May 3.

As a result of the approval of the price hike request, K-electric consumers will have to bear an additional burden over Rs.6 billion.
