Imran petition for quashment of cases: LHC adjourns hearing of over 100 cases

LAHORE, April 03 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned hearing of Imran Khan petition seeking dismissal of cases against him till April 05 due to absence of PTI lawyer.

A two members bench of LHC presided over by Justice Baqir Ali Najfi took up Imran Khan petition for hearing Monday.
Suleman Safdar counsel for Imran Khan could not appear in the court due to his engagements in Supreme Court (SC).

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 05 due to non appearance of counsel for PTI.

Federation, government of Punjab, FIA, NAB and others have been made respondents in the petition filed by Imran Khan for quashment of cases against him.
Former PM Imran Khan has filed the constitutional petition through barrister Suleman Safdar.

He has taken plea in the petition that the powers are being misused by registering over one hundred cases against him. 121 false cases have been registered.

The petitioner has prayed LHC to order for quashing these cases. LHC should summon record of all the cases registered against him besides barring government from initiating the proceedings in these cases till the decision of this case.
