More Rain-Thunderstorm/Wind predicted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Met Office

Islamabad (PNI) Regional Weather Forecasting Center Peshawar informed that another strong westerly wave is likely to enter in the country from Tuesday, the 21st March and likely to persist till Friday, the 24th March. Under the influence of this weather system:
• Widespread rain-wind / thundershower with scattered heavy falls (isolated hailstorm) is expected in Chitral, Lower & Upper Dir, Malakand, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Charsadda, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, Hangu, Karak, Kohat, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, North & South Waziristan districts during the forecast period.
Possible Impacts:
• Strong wind & Hailstorm may cause damage to loose infrastructure and standing crops in the province.
• Heavy Rains may cause Flash Floods in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Nowshera, Mardan, Waziristan, Bajaur and Urban flooding in Peshawar on 23rd and 24th March.
• Landslides may occur in hilly areas of in vulnerable areas during the forecast period.
• Day temperature is likely to fall significantly during the spell.
• Tourists are advised to remain more cautious during the forecast period.
