ISLAMABAD, March 16 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the appeal pleas regarding the decision of Shariat court against interest being withdrawn by state bank of Pakistan and National Bank.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan took up the case for hearing Thursday.
Suleman Akram Raja counsel for State Bank and National bank appeared in the court taking the plea instructions have been given to him that appeal pleas against the Shariat court decision for elimination of interest be withdrawn. Miscellaneous petitions have been filed for withdrawing appeal pleas.
The CJP Umar Ata Bandial accepted the miscellaneous petitions for withdrawing the appeal pleas.
The CJP heard the miscellaneous petitions in chamber.
