Maryam Nawaz rejects PPP’s seat adjustment in Punjab

LAHORE 12 Mar (Online): Chief organizer Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (Pmln) Maryam Nawaz has rejected seat adjustment demand of Pakistan People Party (PPP) in province of Punjab.

PPP demanded 15 national assembly and 25 provincial assembly seats.
Asif Ali Zardari also contacted Nawaz Shareef on this issue but Maryam stuck to her decision.

According to Online source, PPP demanded seat adjustment in Punjab province which Maryam has totally rejected. Former President Asif Ali Zardari asked Pmln for 15 national assembly and 25 provincial assembly seats. PPP demanded that Pmln do not nominate his candidate and support PPP’s candidate.

Source told that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Shareef was ready to talk PPP over seat adjustment and both have contacted Pmln supremo Mian Nawaz Shareef, however, Maryam Nawaz opposed seat adjustment and stuck by her decision.

Maryam opinionated that their own candidates are more than one in every constituency, how could we adjust PPP? She said we have to adjust those who jumped from PTI and supported Pmln. She questioned that will PPP do seat adjustment with Pmln? If it is possible, a plan could be prepared for that. Punjab’s politics influences center. How can we hand over our wining seat to PPP?

Most of senior party leaders supported Maryam’s opinion, source told.
After Pmln refute Asif Zardari became active in Punjab and given task to Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ahmed Mehmood and other leaders to add Pmln and PTI senior member into PPP.
