ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training (FE&PT) Shafqat Mahmood has announced that all educational institutions will resume complete educational activities with full strength from March 1.
“All schools will go back to regular 5-day classes from Monday (March 1),” the minister announced this while talking to media here yesterday. He said that restrictions imposed in some major cities on schools to conduct staggered classes was only till February 28. The minister also said this announcement applies to every educational institution in the designated cities where restrictions related to coronavirus were imposed. He, however, clarified that all educational institutions will continue to observe normal corona SOPs such as physical distancing, mask wearing and ensuring hand washing facilities
Meanwhile, the education ministry in a statement announced to start regular classes in urban centres of Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore and Peshawar after review of the COVID-19 cases in these centres.
