ISLAMABAD – January 30 (ONLINE) Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman and PTI’s close ally Sheikh Rashid didn’t appear before Aabpara police on Monday as the officials had summoned him earlier in a case pertaining to labeling serious allegations against former President Asif Ali Zardari.
AML Chief, who is also a close companion of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, had claimed in a press talk that he was aware of a plot that was being hatched by PPP Co Chairman Asif Ali Zardari allegedly to murder Imran Khan. Imran Khan already had claimed that Asif Ali Zardari was allegedly involved in funding elements that ‘planned to kill him (Imran).’
On Monday, a citizen filed a complaint against Rashid for allegedly creating unrest and chaos in country. The complainant was of the view that Sheikh Rashid has alleged Asif Ali Zardari of hatching a plot to murder Imran Khan. The complaint stated that AML Chief had alleged PPP Co chairman according to a conspiracy. Therefore, every character involved in this conspiracy must be brought to justice.
The Aabpara police had summoned Sheikh Rashid to clarify his position but the former minister failed to appear.
