KARACHI, Jan 13 (APP):Shipping activities reported at the Port on Thursday,where three ships namely, Athenian, Sti Onyx and MH Langoey carrying Containers, Palm oil and Chemicals, berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile three more ships, Maha Laxmi, Sea Crystal and Seapeak Galicia carrying Palm oil and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage of the port during the last 24 hour.
A total of 07 ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘Athenian’ left the Port on Friday morning, while 03 more ships, Serenity Gas, MH Langoey and Ladon are expected to sail on today in the afternoon.
A Cargo volume of 93,666 tonnes, comprising 74,673 tonnes imports cargo and 18,993 tonnes export cargo, including containerized cargo carried in 1,461` Containers (865 TEUs Imports and 596 TEUs export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 20 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them, 04 ships, RDO Fortune, Seapeak Galicia, FSM and Sanmar Songbird carrying Containers, LNG, LPG and Gas oil are expected to take berths at QICT, PGPCL, EVTL and FOTCO on Friday,and two more ships, Olympia and Maersk Jalan are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
