Sami Ullah Alizai, Hafeez Ullah Alizai join JUI-F

D.I.KHAN, Dec 16 (APP):Two renowned politicians of Dera Ismail Khan Sami Ullah Khan Alizai and his father Hafeez Ullah Khan Alizai on Friday joined Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F).

They make this announcement while addressing a press conference here on Friday evening along with JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Federal Minister for Communications Asad Mahmood.

Speaking on this occasion, the JUI-F chief informed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would visit Dera Imail Khan on December 26 to inaugurate a number of mega development projects for the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Fazl, who is also Chief of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), said that Dera Ismail Khan was his land and every possible step would be taken for the uplift of the district which had been long been awaiting development-oriented initiatives.

As part of efforts to meet long-standing demands and requirements of the area, Fazl said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would announce CPEC route from Yarik to Sagu and onward to Zhob, a road from Yarik to Tank, Tank to Pezu, construction of Mufti Mehmood Chowk to Yarik road and Mufti Mehmood Chowk to Qureshi Morr road.

Besides, he added the government had agreed to build an international airport in the region to increase trade and economic activities with central Asian countries.

However, he said that a suitable site was being selected, adding, such initiatives would make Dera Ismail Khan an economic hub.

He said the measures would also be taken for the agriculture sector of Dera Ismail Khan and in this regard Gomal Zam dam had already been built but it needed to be further channelized. He said that Chashma Lift Canal and Tank Zam dam would be constructed to bring about 12 lac acre barren land under cultivation.

Similarly, he added that an industrial zone would be set up and it would usher in socio-economic development of the area.

Answering a question, he asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to present his about three and half years’ performance of his government before the public, instead of making overtures to create unrest in the country.

He said that PTI leadership’s talk about resignations was part of overtures to blackmail the present coalition government into accepting its whimsical demands and to create unrest and political instability in the country.

He said that PTI under the leadership of Imran Khan was already inclined towards creating unrest and chaos in the country, but the government was determined to defeat such a mindset.

He hoped that the present coalition government would overcome all the inherited challenges and steer the country out of the economic quagmire.

Replying to another question, Fazl said the PDM did not believe in politics of victimization and that was why it amended the NAB laws which were made during a dictatorial regime.

To another query about the firing incident on Pak-Afghan border, Fazl said that it was a sad incident which would be taken seriously. Pakistan would respond with maturity like a responsible state by making a strategy, he said and added that the Afghan government should be contacted and their demands should be listened. He said the government would balance the imbalance policies of the previous government.

The JUI-F chief said the PDM government would not make policies in favour of any single international force rather it would develop good relations with all the countries including Russia, China and Saudi Arabia.

Fazl welcomed and congratulated the Samiullah Alizai and his father Azizullah Alizai on joining his party, saying their joining would further strengthen and enhance masses’ confidence in the party which believes in the country’s stability.

He said today was an important day which would be written in golden words in annals of history.

He said that JUI-F had always worked for the welfare of people and been receptive to development. He said the JUI-F always considered country’s sovereignty, stability and defence.

As a result of such sincere efforts for the service of humanity, he added that today JUI-F was being accepted as the largest political party in the country.

On this occasion, the Alizai family assured its full unconditional support towards JUI-F and recounted its services for Dera Ismai Khan including Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC), Mufti Mehood hospital, Gomal Medical College, Hakla-D.I.Khan Motorway, D.I.Khan Bypass, Upgradition of Civil hospital, provision of Sui Gas, Dera Board besides other major projects.

Speaking on this occasion, Federal Minister Asad Mahmood criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government saying that not a single mega project for Dera Ismail Khan was in the credit of PTI government during its nine years rule in the province.

Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman also chaired a meeting of Majlis-e-Amla at his residence in Shorkot area here to discuss the preparations for upcoming PM’s visit to Dera Ismail Khan.
