Pakistan Bridge Federation ready to host 22nd BFAME Championship

Lahore, December 08 (ONLINE): The 22nd Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Championship organized by Pakistan Bridge Federation has been announced to be held in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Bridge Federation has announced to start the 22nd Bridge federation of Asia and Middle East bridge championship in May 2023 from 3rd to 11th.

In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Gymkhana Club in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, in which a memorandum was signed for holding the 22nd Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Championship in Pakistan, President of Pakistan Bridge Federation Mubasher Luqman and Bridge Federation President of Asia and Middle East Behjat Majali signed the agreement, on this occasion General Secretary of Pakistan Bridge Federation Ehsan Qadir, Manager Pakistan Bridge Federation Secretariat Kazem Naqvi and other members were also present.

Contract bridge, or simply bridge, is a trick-taking card game using a standard 52-card deck. In its basic format, it is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table.

The championship which started from May 3 will continue till May 11. In which players and teams from 22 countries including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, Lebanon will participate.

Eight countries will qualify for the World Bridge Championship by the results of the championship held in Lahore. The World Bridge Championship will be held in August next year in Morocco.

While giving a press conference on this occasion, Mubasher Luqman said that anyone can participate in this game, be it men or women, everyone can participate in this game, even children, there will be no restrictions on anyone.

President of Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Bahajat Majali said on this occasion that the President of Pakistan Bridge Federation is Mubasher Luqman, who is active for the promotion of Bridge, Pakistan Bridge Federation is working well and providing facilities to Bridge players.

We are grateful to Mubasher Luqman and Pakistan Bridge Federation for their efforts to bring international players to Pakistan and see the culture of Pakistan.

Aspirants will be given free training under the auspices of Pakistan Bridge Federation. It is a mental game that puts a lot of stress on the mind.
