RAWALPINDI, Nov 16 (Online): Police have declared Sheikh Rashid and his nephew innocent in the incident of desecration of Masjid-e-Nabavi and presented report in this regard before single bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench..
Police have filed report in the court with reference to petition seeking dismissal of case against Sheikh Rashid and his nephew.
The court has wrapped up the petition and directed the petitioners to resort to subordinate court.
During the hearing of the case Sheikh Rashid, his counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq, assistant advocate general Punjab Zahid Anwar and plaintiff of the case were present in the court.
The investigation officer in the case told the court Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Rashid Rafiq have been declared innocent in blasphemy case. The blasphemy case registered against Sheikh Rashid Rafiq in Faisalabad has also been dismissed.
Upon it the court while wrapping up petitions of Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Rashid Rafiq directed the petitioners to resort to subordinate court.
