LAHORE, NOV 14 (Online): Lahore talks have failed in the wake of stubbornness and harsh attitude of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and even President Arif Alvi has held his hands up.
Imran Khan is not ready to sit in with any leader of PDM.
Sources told online that president Arif Alvi reached Lahore day before. He held several meetings with Imran Khan at his residence in Zaman Park.
Sources added Imran Khan flatly refused to meet any leader of PDM including Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif. The common friends proposed to meet PDM leaders to hold talks on electoral reforms and election time frame. It was also proposed that a committee comprising senior leaders of PTI be constituted. However Imran Khan rejected both of the proposals.
President Arif Alvi could not persuade Imran Khan to meet with PM Shahbaz Sharif and president Arif Alvi has his hands up due to intransigent attitude of Imran Khan.
Sources disclosed that a key personality also refused to meet Imran Khan duet to latter intransigence. This personality was in Lahore during the meetings between Arif Alvi and Imran khan.
Had Imran khan agreed for holding talks then president Arif Alvi was to talk to PM Shahbaz Sharif.
According to sources Imran Khan wanted election time frame and appointment of new army chief as per his own desire.
