PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (Online): Prison Contractors Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) President Mir Afzal Khan and other officials have demanded the Provincial Finance Minister and Finance Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to immediately pay the arrears of the contractors supplying food to the prisons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Otherwise, the contractors under severe financial pressure will stop supplying ration to the prisoners, while addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, he said that since the last financial year, the prison contractors have not been paid, due to which the contractors have to pay millions of rupees.
The contractors supplying rations to around 40 prisons from Chitral to Kohistan and DI Khan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are facing severe financial crisis.
