ISLAMABAD, NOV 04 (Online): Local Bodies (LB) polls will take place on December 31 in Islamabad.
Election Commission (EC) has issued notification of change in date for holding LB polls in federal capital. According to notification the LB polls will be held on December 31 in Islamabad.
Earlier EC had postponed LB polls in the month of June in federal capital.
PML-N and PPP had filed petition in Islamabad High Court for halting the LB polls in Islamabad.
Through the petition the court was requested for increasing the number of union councils and holding election as per new delimitation of constituencies.
