ANF recovers 50 kg hashish, 11.7 kg ice, 2.8 kg heroin and 10 liters alcohol

MARDAN: Mardan region police conducted a major anti-narcotics operation, recovered 50 kg of hashish, 11.7 kg of ice, 2.8 kg of heroin and 10 liters of alcohol, 91 involved people were arrested on Thursday.

Talking to the media Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan Muhammad Ali Khan said that drug selling and its use will not be tolerated in Mardan region, while the operations of regional police have been intensified to prevent and deal with them.

He added that making the region drug free is our mission.
Further he told to media that on the instructions of IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Muazzam Jah Ansari, a series of operations are carried out to prevent drugs.

Drug dealers will not be allowed to play with the lives of the youth. RPO added that Mardan region police arrested 91 suspects involved in drug trafficking during the last 24 hours, from whose possession 50 kilograms of hashish, 11.7 kilograms of ice, 2.8 kilograms of heroin and 10 liters of alcohol were recovered.

He added that during other operations, 27 criminals were arrested from whose possession 07 SMGs, 12 rifles, 36 pistols and 490 cartridges were recovered.

RPO argued that in order to prevent crimes, snap-checking was conducted at 35 locations across the region, while search operations were conducted at13 locations and security audits of 161 sensitive government buildings were conducted.
