Tarin plotted country’s default: Khawaja alleges

LAHORE – September 12 (ONLINE) Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique Monday alleged former Finance Minister and PTI leader Shaukat Tarin of ‘knowingly attempting for country’s default’, referring to his (Tarin’s) recently leaked alleged audio conversation with the provincial treasury ministers of KPK and Punjab.

“Most of country’s parts are drowned,” Rafique said while talking to reporters outside Lahore’s Accountability court.

“Every institution is playing its part in rescue and rehabilitation process,” he said, while alleging that PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was ‘creating drama’ in these testing times.

Khawaja Saad Rafique, without naming his party’s arch rival Imran Khan, said that a political leader is constantly attacking the PML-N lead coalition and wasn’t allowing the government to function smoothly.

He alleged former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin of knowingly attempting to default country economically. He was referring to an alleged leaked audio-tape of Tarin with KP and Punjab Finance Ministers.
