ISLAMABAD 02 Sep (Online): Lashing out at the imported government for making the propaganda regarding security expenses on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry sought details from Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in this regard.
Fawad Chaudhry on Friday sought details of the security after IGP Dr Akbar Nasir Khan claimed that the government was spending Rs20 million per month on Imran Khan’s security.
He said that PTI asked the Federal Interior Minister to provide the details of the security expenses and alleged deployment of 266 personnel for his security.
Fawad stated that undoubtedly Imran Khan was the most popular political leader of the country and who was facing extraordinary security threats since the imported government was imposed through foreign conspiracy. He went on to say that security of Chairman PTI was the primary responsibility of the government.
However, Fawad stated that there was a world of difference between Imran Khan and the criminals in the ranks of the imported government.
He said that it was the tradition of Sharifs and Zardaris to lavishly and wastefully use the state resources, as Rs. 364 million hefty amounts was spent on protection and security of Sharifs’ Jati Umra palace.
Fawad Chaudhry revealed that more or less 3,000 security personnel have been deployed to guard the palace.
He noted that the Sharifs and Zardaris were spending billions of rupees annually on their six camp offices were the trade mark of these crooks.
However, Fawad Chaudhry stated that as soon as Imran Khan assumed the charge as a Prime Minister, he put a halt on royal customs and traditions and saved millions of rupees annually through drastic reduction in the expenses of the PM House and foreign tours.
He said that throughout his tenure as a premier, Imran Khan stayed at his residence in Bani Gala and even he paid for the security wall around his house from his own pocket.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the details released for the propaganda campaign regarding Imran Khan’s security expenses were very worrying.
He lamented that despite serious security threats, the imported government did not take any step for the safety and security of Imran Khan.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the letter of the PTI regarding arrangement for the security of its chairman was also part of the record, adding that liar Federal Interior Minister should provide the official details of the security expenses on Imran Khan and the deputation of 266 security personnel.
Fawad Chaudhry asked that Chief Justice of Pakistan should take notice of the campaign being run against the Chief Justice of Islamabad by a political party instrumental media group.
He said that Chief Justice Islamabad High Court was a decent person and he will forgive but it was the duty of the Supreme Court to take notice of the issue.
