IHC fixes for hearing bail plea of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill for hearing in sedition case

ISLAMABAD, SEP 02 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed for hearing the bail plea filed by PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in sedition case.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah will hear the case on Monday.

Shahbaz Gill is charged with inciting some persons to sedition in a TV interview. Later FIR was lodged against him. Islamabad Police had taken him to custody, presented him before the court and obtained two days physical remand. Judge had sent him to jail on judicial remand on completion of two days physical remand. Later government had resorted to IHC to obtain his physical remand again. IHC transferred this case to additional judge Zeba Chaudhry.

Zeba Chaudhry once again handed over him to police on physical remand. Following the completion of his two days physical remand he was sent to jail on judicial remand. Shahbaz Gill resorted to court of additional magistrate for bail. The court did not grant bail after hearing the arguments of lawyers of respondents.

The counsel for Shahbaz Gill approached IHC for his bail. The court admitted bail plea for hearing.
