IHC orders to release Myanmar drug baron Ibrahim Koko

ISLAMABAD, July 18 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to release Myanmar drug baron Ibrahim Koko.

The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani Monday.

Ibrahim Koko appeared before IHC for the first time.

The court called Ibrahim Koko on rostrum during the hearing of the case and inquired if he wanted to go to his home.

Koko Ibrahim said yes he wanted to go home. Directives be issued to embassy.

The learned judge remarked we will write such an order that Koko Ibrahim does not face any problem while landing on the airport of his own country.
The court released Koko Ibrahim following fulfillment of local surety and some other conditions. The court ordered to send him back to his country till September 16.

The court also directed the authorities concerned for vaccination and preparation of of travelling documents.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 16.
