IHC reserves judgment on maintainability of petition seeking investigation into audio leak of Bushra Bibi, Khalid Arsalan

ISLAMABAD, July 18 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the maintainability of petition seeking investigation into alleged audio leak of Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and PTI social media team secretary Arsalan Khalid.

Petition filed by a citizen seeking investigation into alleged audio leak of Bushra Bibi and Arsalan Khalid came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by the acting Chief Justice (CJ) Amir Farooq here Monday.

Justice Amir Farooq inquired that one audio has been leaked and you want us to investigate. Is investigating the job of IHC. Are you aggrieved party in the case.

The acting CJ IHC remarked “how cans the court issue writ on the conversation of private people. Have those affected by audio leak filed any petition on any forum. When you work out such petition then it should be prepared thoughtfully.

The counsel for the petitioner said this was a sea which has been written in the application.

Justice Amir Farooq remarked is it sea or galaxy we have nothing to do with it. The entire Pakistan will come into, should we then investigate on all of it.

The IHC reserved the judgment on the maintainability of the petition.

It may be mentioned that an alleged audio on conversation between Bushra Bibi and Arsalan Khan was leaked earlier wherein wife of chairman PTI was asking Arsalan Khalid to run traitor trend against PTI political opponents.
