IHC moved for investigation into leakage of alleged audio of Bushra Bibi, Arsalan Khalid

ISLAMABAD, July 15 (ONLINE): A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking court orders to conduct investigation into leakage of alleged audio of Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Arsalan Khalid.

The petitioner has taken the plea that FIA cyber crime wing should conduct forensic investigation into leakage of audio . Bushra Bibi and Arsalan Khalid should be summoned in the court and they be asked about the video.

The petitioner further pleaded stern action is initiated against Bushra Bibi and Arsalan Khalid if the audio is proved correct. Contempt of court proceedings should be initiated against Bushra Bibi if the audio is proved correct.

The petition said that interference was made in the private life of the people through leakage of the audio. Pakistan cultural, social and international prestige was affected due to leakage of audio.

The petition further said action be taken as per law against those behind leakage of audio. No law is in place in Pakistan to regulate social media, therefore, Pakistan internal and external prestige is being affected badly due to social media material.

The petitioner further prayed the interior ministry and information ministry should take measures with reference to registration of social media.

The petition was filed by Muhammad Asif Gujjar advocate in IHC making interior ministry, information ministry, chairman PEMRA and PID respondents. FIA, intelligence bureau and state bank have also been made respondents.

The petitioner also said in the petition that he does social welfare related work too and sees and listens different newspapers, tv programs and U-Tubes on day to day basis. Several U-Tube channels are working against the solidarity of Pakistan and it is necessary they should be regulated.
