F.O condemns blocking Pakistan’s partcipation

Islamabad, June 27 (Online): The Foreign Office on Monday condemned blocking Pakistan’s participation as a non-member state by a member country.

Foreign Office has not mentioned the name, but it is believed that India is an hostile state which can be involved in such activities.

The BRICS Summit held in 2017 also involved Pakistan without naming held responsible for hosting militant organisations such as Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The XIV BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) Summit of five emerging regional economies brings together five of the largest developing countries in the world, representing 41 per cent of the global population, 24pc of the global GDP and 16pc of the global trade.

However, the FO expressed hope that future engagement of the organisation would be based on the principles of inclusivity keeping in view the overall interests of the developing world and in a manner that is devoid of narrow geo-political considerations.
