ISLAMABAD, April 26 (Online): Federal government has started removing the officers from their posts who were found involved in misuse of their powers under the directives of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

These officers are involved in initiating action illegally against the politicians of the opposition parties and the journalists and media houses opposed to the then PTI led government.

Sources said decision has been taken to remove FBR commissioners and assistant commissioners who harassed anti Imran media houses and journalists by sending them baseless notices.

Under the directives of Dr Ashfaq, the task for sending notices to the journalists was assigned to assistant commissioner Sajid Ali. It has been decided to remove him too from his post.

PM Shahbaz Sharif has sought names from finance ministry for appointment of new chairman FBR.
