KARACHI 22 April (ONLINE): Pakistan People Pary (PPP) has decided to induct Sharjeel Memon into the provincial cabinet as Sindh Information Minister on Friday.
Two notifications were issued; one regarding the Sharjeel Memon, while second revealed that portfolio of labour minister remains with Saeed Ghani.
According to Dawn.com, Sharjeel was sworn in by acting Sindh Governor Agha Siraj Durrani in the presence of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other cabinet members.
Memon is currently on bail in corruption cases and was also arrested during last PPP government in 5.7 billion corruption and assets beyond means.
“Memon will take the oath of his ministry tomorrow. His portfolio is yet to be confirmed,” an official of the services and general administration department had said.
Sindh cabinet will induct its 51st member as it has already 50 ministers, advisors and special assistants working in different departments.
