BNP Mengal’s lawmaker protests amidst firing at Balochs

ISLAMABAD – April 18 (ONLINE) Balochistan National Party Mengal group’s (BNP-Mengal) member National Assembly (MNA) Agha Hassan Baloch on Monday walked out of Assembly Session, marking his protest against the security forces’ alleged firing at protesting Baloch citizens.

NA Session was convened Monday under the chair of newly elected Speaker Raja Parvez Ashraf. BNP lawmaker Agha Hassan Baloch while talking to the Assembly on point of order said that people of Balochistan are his party’s top priority.

Hassan said that many Balochs were killed as a result of security forces’ firing during a BNP-Mengal protest. My party walks out of the assembly session to record our protest, Hassan added and then eventually walked out of the assembly.

On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MNA and former Minister Khawaj Asif supported Pakistan’s Peoples Party’s (PPP) demand to change the Muazzin of the parliament lodges.
