Czech model Tereza approaches IHC seeking order to allow her to return to her country

ISLAMABAD, March 03 (Online): Czech model Tereza who was acquitted in drug trafficking case has filed petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking order to allow her to return to her country Czech Republic.

A single bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) presided over by Justice Amir Farooq took up the petition for hearing Thursday.

Counsel for Tereza told the petitioner Tereza is not being allowed to return to her country.
He said Tereza was arrested in 2018 on the charges of drug trafficking. She was sentenced. However Lahore High Court acquitted her. But the interior ministry rejected her plea for returning to her country because the appeal plea against her acquittal is pending hearing.

The IHC has issued notice to interior ministry and sought reply.
