‘Shab-e-Miraj’ observed with great religious fervor

ISLAMABAD – February 28 (ONLINE): Shab-e-Meraj was being observed yesterday (Monday) night with traditional religious devotion and fervor in the country.

According to state media, recitations of Naat, Qaseeda Burda Shareef, Durood Sharif, Salat Tasbeeh, Nawafil and special prayers were being arranged in the mosques. Islamic scholars narrated the events and virtues of the Miraj Sharif.

Shab-e-Miraj is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar. This event marks the night that Allah Almighty took Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to the heavens.
