Pakistan women’s team lands in New Zealand for WC

ISLAMABAD – February 10 (ONLINE): In a bid to chase the World Cup title down, the Pakistan women’s national side has reached New Zealand, it emerged.

Upon reaching Christchurch, the Pakistan team will undergo ten-day quarantine. Completing the quarantine, Pakistan women’s team will start practicing.

Event is scheduled to be played from March 3 to April 4. Pakistan’s eighteen-member squad will represent country under the captaincy of Bisma Maroof.

Pakistan squad comprises of captain Bisma Maroof, Vice captain Nida Dar, Aiman Anwar, Aalia Riaz, Anum Amin, Dayana Baig, Fatima Sana and Ghulam Fatima.

Javeria Khan, Muniba Ali, Naheeda Khan, Nashira Sindhu, Umaima Suhail, Sidra Amin and Sidra Nawaz are the also representing Pakistan.

Reserve bench includes Irum Javed, Najia Alvi and Tooba Hassan. Pakistan will face arch-rival India in its opening fixture on March 6.
