MUMBAI – February 7 (ONLINE): Bollywood’s Shahrukh Khan is currently under severe criticism by the Hindu nationalist groups, who claim the actor had allegedly ‘spitted’ on late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s dead-body.
“Kya isny thooka? (Did he spit?)” asked state in-charge of BJP Haryana, Arun Yadav through a tweet, sharing video of Bollywood superstar, who lowered his mask as well as head to have a last glimpse of the Indian singer at her last rites.
The ‘Nightingale’ of India Lata Mangeshkar passed away Sunday at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital of multi-organ failure at the age of 92.
“I don’t understand why prejudice blinds a person so much. After reading something during Lata Ji’s last rites, Shah Rukh Khan has blown the dua, which has been termed “spitting” by the bigoted people there and the clip went viral.
But any conscious person will see it with open eyes that Shah Rukh has blown, and did not spit.” Wrote actress Resham in her social media post, who however, came out in support of Shahrukh at these tough times.
