Nothing to do with Indian constitution but word Kashmir mentioned therein not acceptable to us: President Arif Alvi

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (Online): President Arif Alvi has said we have nothing to do with Indian constitution but the word Kashmir mentioned therein is neither acceptable to us nor do we like word of Kashmir in Indian constitution.

“ Pakistan stands firmly by its principled stance on Kashmir issue. The nation stands with Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self determination. India is involved in state violence, use of pellet guns and demolition of homes. Kashmir will succeed in their courageous struggle against coercion. Indian steps will leave disastrous impact on South Asia and the world”, he said this while addressing a rally which was taken out from Constitution Avenue and culminated at D-Chowk to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The rally was attended by speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar and other ministers and a large number of citizens.

One minute silence was observed to express solidarity with Kashmiris.

The participants chanted slogans “ Bharat se azadi len gain. Kashmir Baney Ga Pakistan.

The participants appealed to international community to take cognizance of Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

Addressing the rally President Arif Alvi said Kashmiris have been rendering sacrifices since the last 70 years.

He went on to say the entire Pakistani nation stands with people of Kashmir and Pakistan stands wedded to its principled stance on Kashmir issue. We will continue to stand with the Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self determination. The Kashmir issue will be resolved as per will of Kashmiris. The Kashmir dispute will be sorted out finally through plebiscite. Kashmir issue is one of the oldest disputes on UN Security Council agenda.

He went on to say Kashmir issue could not be resolved due to stubbornness of India. Modification in the constitution by India is blatant violation of Geneva convention. Kashmir was, is and will never be part of India. It is part of Pakistan. We have no concern with Indian constitution.

Citing to plight of Indian Muslims he said they are being subjected to brutalities by Indian government. Kashmiris were made blind through pellet guns.

India has imposed black out on the freedom of expression. The human rights are being violated brazenly in Occupied Kashmir. India is perpetrating state terrorism. India is involved in extra judicial killing and fake encounters. Over 900000 Indian occupation forces have turned Occupied Kashmir into prison. RSS and BJP movement failed in controlling the freedom movement in Occupied Kashmir.

He underlined the illegal steps taken by India on August 05, 2019 are gross violation of international laws. Indian steps caused harm to peace efforts in the region.
The world community should hold India accountable for the atrocities being perpetrated by it in Occupied Kashmir, he remarked.
