FIA launches crackdown against currency smuggling

Islamabad-January 29 (Online): Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has launched crackdown against currency smuggling.

According to media report, FIA commercial bank circles conducted an operation in Peshawar tool plaza and arrested a person.

FIA has recovered local and foreign currency worth of more than Rs 20 million from accused.
Accused is identified as Zia Ullah. He is resident of Peshawar. He was trying to smuggle currency from Peshawar to Rawalpindi.
Case has been filed against accused. Operation was conducted under instructions of DG FIA Doctor Sana Ullah Abbasi.
