Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK prepares for ‘India’s Black Day’ to press for plebiscite in Kashmir

LONDON (PNI) Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK on Thursday announced its anti-occupation program to coincide with India’s Republic Day on January 26th.

Fahim Kayani, president of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, told a news conference that Kashmiris in UK and worldwide will observe India’s Republic Day as Black Day to register strong protest against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir through her one million troops.

“Jan. 26 when India celebrates its Republic Day, Kashmiris in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIoJK) and across the worldwide will observe this day as Black Day as a protest against India’s illegal military occupation of IIoJK,” Kayani said.

Kayani said Kashmiris in the UK will hold demonstrations outside the Indian embassy and consulates to remind the Indian fascist authorities to prepare for the UN-promised plebiscite in IIoJK.

“This day, Kashmiris will remind the international community that India has no right to celebrate its Republic Day as it is the biggest violator of international law,” Kayani said.

The Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK president said Feb. 05 is observed as Kashmir Solidarity across the world.

“Tehreek-e-Kashmir will hold several programs in the UK and Europe to press the host governments to push India to respect UN resolutions and prepare for the plebiscite in IIoJK,” Kayani said.

“We must pressure India to halt the genocide in IIoJK as every day its occupational forces are killing innocent Kashmiris,” he added.

“These two occasions also give us opportunity to expose India’s long arm state as how its targets and harasses Kashmiris living outside their homeland in different countries,” Kayani said.
