Funds embezzlement case: Accountability Court declares daughter, son in law of Shahbaz Sharif proclaimed offenders

LAHORE, Jan 12 (Online): Accountability Court (AC) Lahore has declared daughter and son in law of opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) proclaimed offender in Punjab Power Development (PPD), Erra and other government department funds embezzlement case.

The case came up for hearing before the AC Lahore Wednesday.

The court declared Rabia Imran, daughter of Shahbaz Sharif and his son in law Imran Yousuf proclaimed offender.

The court has issued perpetual arrest warrants of both Rabia Imran and Imran Yousuf besides ordering to confiscate the moveable and immovable properties of both of these accused.

The court had given them 30 days time to appear before declaring them proclaimed offenders. But daughter and son in law of Shahbaz Sharif did not avail the facility. Therefore, the warrants will stay as long as both are not arrested and presented before the court.

A reference containing clauses of money laundering act was filed against Rabia Imran and Imran Yousuf and other accused persons.
