Zardari hints at in-house change

Islamabad – January 11 (ONLINE): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has hinted at an ‘in-house’ change at Pakistan National Assembly, which would mean the departure of current Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

According to media reports, Asif Zardari said that government had completely failed to deliver under current circumstances and there was a dire need to get rid of this government.

“The government cannot do anything for the people under the current circumstances” Asif Ali Zardari said, while replying to a journalist’s question.

He also ruled out rejoining the Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM). “This nonsense government cannot run and now the history has proved it,” he added.

Asif Zardari said that Maulana Fazalur Rehman had already been launching the long march.

On the other hand, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir on Tuesday granted pre-arrest bail to Asif Zardari in the US property case.

Rejecting the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) plea to dismiss the application of Asif Zardari, the court ruled that the NAB would not be able to arrest Asif Zardari to the extent of the inquiry.

It also ruled that the NAB will have to approach the court if it wants to arrest Asif Zardari during the investigation.
