Lahore – December 21 (Online): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president and National Assembly (NA)’s opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif said Tuesday that ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s defeat in first phase of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)’s local body polls was a testimony of public’s mistrust and disgust at the PTI government.
In a statement, Shehbaz Sharif said that PTI failed in local body polls because of ‘unprecedented inflation’ and ‘pathetic governance’.
Opposition leader said that polls’ results were ‘end of an experiment’ which cost masses a lot.
On the other hand, PML-N president expressed condolences over demise of renowned haematologist Dr Tahir Shamsi. Shehbaz Sharif said that Shamsi’s spent his life in charity, and serving poor people.
