AJK Development Working Party reviewed 14 development projects involving an expenditure of 2.42 Billion Rupees.

MUZAFFARABAD (PID) The fourth meeting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Development Working Party for the financial Year 2021-22 was held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Development Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chauhan. The meeting reviewed 14 development projects of various sectors involving an expenditure of 2.42 billion rupees.

The project was reviewed at the meeting relating to Higher education ,social welfare ,information and media development ,Electricity,health, industries and physical planning and housing sectors.
Among the important projects discussed at the meeting were acquisition of land for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Women University in Bagh District.

Rehabilitation Centers for Addicts, Stabilization of District Information Offices of Directorate General of Public Relations under Information and Media Development Department, Computerization of Land Records, Improvement of Power Transmission network in Northern Region of Azad Kashmir ,provision of health facilities in Tehsil Headquarters at Ming in Sadhnauti District .

The meeting reviewed the Up gradation of 250 to 500 beds in District Headquarters Hospital Mirpur and plans to control COVID-19 were also reviewed at the meeting. The Plans also envisages the Feasibility Study and Accountability Bureau Office Housing Construction Plans.

Addressing the meeting the Additional Chief Secretary Development Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chauhan said that the projects of the departments which have already been approved should now complete the tendering process of these projects and immediately start work.

He directed the heads of development departments to ensure timely utilization of development funds and achieve the development targets so that the people could be provided the necessary facilities at their doorsteps. The meeting was attended by the Secretaries of the concerned departments ,representatives of the Federal government ,Heads of the department and officers of the Planning and Development department ۔
