Heavy rain affects traffic flow on Lahore roads

Lahore September 10 (Online): The torrential rains that started early in the morning in provincial capital continued till noon.

Due to water accumulation on roads and squares, the flow of traffic remained disturbed.

The CTO Lahore came out in the field early in the morning for the flow of traffic.

CTO Muntazir Mehdi stood in the squares with the wardens and kept the traffic flowing.

Traffic wardens were seen help citizens during the rains.
All lifters, breakdowns were deployed on roads to help vehicles stuck in the water.

At the direction of CTO Lahore, all circle officers remained present on busy and downhill highways.

Additional personnel were deployed at Canal Road underpasses to prevent the accumulation of motorcycles during rains. The CTO Lahore was in constant touch with the WASA administration for drainage.

Muntazir Mehdi said that the traffic wardens were standing in the water and performing their duties. CTO Lahore said that with the best strategy, the citizens did not face any traffic problem. And citizens were informed by RASTA app and RASTA FM radio.
