Teachers banned from wearing jeans in educational institutions

Islamabad – September 7 (Online): Government has banned teachers belonging to education institutions of federal capital from wearing jeans and has imposed a dress code, a notification issued from Federal directorate of education said Tuesday.

As per the ‘dress code’, male teachers will not be wearing jeans and t-shirts anymore while female teachers will be barred from wearing tights and jeans.

Female teachers will be allowed to wear scarfs and hijab. They wouldn’t be wearing slippers as well.

Male teachers will only use sweaters and coats in winters to avoid cold, while female teachers will use jerseys, the notification says.
According to details, FDE has directed area education officers to strictly implement the given dress codes, and also ordered principles of educational institutions to ensure that teachers must remain well dressed and maintained, the notification said.
