SC constitutional bench fixes contempt of court plea against Imran Khan for hearing

ISLAMABAD, MARCH 15 (ONLINE): Contempt of court petition against PTI founder Imran Khan has been fixed for hearing.

A 5-member constitutional bench of Supreme Court (SC) presided over by Justice Amin ud Din Khan has fixed contempt of court plea against Imran Khan for hearing.

Bench will hear the petition on March 21.

Contempt of court plea was filed by federal government.
The petition was filed for holding Long March till D- chowk instead of court’s designated area on May 25, 2022.

During previous hearing court had sought reply from government that petition will be further persuaded by it or otherwise.

Suleman Akram Raja has already filed reply on behalf of PTI founder.

The court had ordered to designate ground for long march in 2022. Counsels for PTI founder had assured the court to hold long march till defined limits.

The long march led by PTI founder had terminated at Jinnah Avenue on May 26, 2022.,

PTI workers had set ablaze trees  near D-Chowk.
