ISLAMABAD, FEB 27 (ONLINE): Electricity tariff is likely to be curtailed by over Rs 2 per unit for consumers of power distribution companies.
NEPRA completed hearing in respect of CPPA petition.
The decision will be released later.
Authorities told NEPRA that reference cost remained Rs 11 under head of FCA in January while 7.81 billion units were sold.
Relief for consumers comes to over Rs 15 billion due to difference in reference cost.
It was told during hearing in NEPRA relief will go to consumers against previous adjustment. Net relief of 75 paisas per unit can be provided to consumers for March.
Industrial consumers remained 63 percent while other consumers remained 37 percent under government winter package.
Authority has sought report regarding water situation from WAPDA for summer season.
