ISLAMABAD, FEB 20 (ONLINE): Supreme Court (SC) has issued acquittal orders of accused Sajjad alias Shahzad resident of Sharif Abad in murder case.
Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Mian Khel heared the case on Thursday.
The claimant Azhar Mehmood had got the case registered.
Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad had awarded 25 years punishment and Rs 2 lac fine after case was proved against him.
Islamabad High Court (IHC) had dismissed appeal plea of the accused on December 9, 2016.
He was charged with killing Raja Kausar Mehmood and injuring Karam Elahi in firing.
Azhar Mehmood brother of the deceased had registered FIR in police station Koral, Islamabad.
The SC while accepting appeal of accused nullified the punishment and acquitted him.
Arshid Hussain Yousufzai advocate was pursuing the case from accused side.
